    Dear Parents, Staff and Students

It gives me great pleasure to announce the winners of the best dressed Halloween costumes for 2025. In grade 8 we have Joe Erlank and Myles Lenford. In grade 9 Rethor Oostendorp. In grade 10 we have Amber Minnaar, Chelsea Sassman and Mia Jooste and our overall winner as well as the Grade 11 winner is Cassidy Vermeulen. Congratulations to all of you. Your creativity was amazing. Your prizes can be collected on Monday from my office.

    Safety Protocols

All schools have a safety committee who must meet quarterly. Safety policies dictate what we do in the case of an emergency. When there is a threat, external or internal, on any individual learner/s we do our due diligence. Our key priority is to ensure the safety of all on site. We are directly linked to Safer Schools and the SAP.

    Student Leadership Training

On Tuesday, 25th November 2025 we will be having our last student leadership training for the academic year. This will be for all RCL members and class captains of 2025. The training will take place from 08:00 to 12:00.

    Examinations

From Monday, 10th November 2025, all students from grades 8 to 12 will be involved in their final examination. We wish all our students well. Your performance in this examination will determine whether you move on to the next grade or not. We believe that each student has the potential to do this. It depends on preparation, study, attitude and sacrifice. If your child is absent from an examination, a medical certificate is required.

    Examination Irregularities

No cell phones are allowed on the school site. It must be handed in at reception before school starts and collected after school. If a cell phone is found on a student in the exam room, it is an irregularity and a set procedure is followed. This can lead to a student receiving zero for the examination [grade 8-12] and in addition at grade 12 level being barred from writing the NSC exam for 3-5years.

Below are additional examples of irregularities that have the same consequences described above:Any form of sounds/ talking in an exam roomNot following the instructions of the invigilatorcausing a disturbance in the exam roomhaving crib notes or any additional papernot being in a sober condition [Consuming weed/edibles/alcohol]

School commences at 08:00 and dismisses Monday to Thursday at 1pm and 12:00 on a Friday. Please peruse the exam time table for when school will dismiss at 1:30pm. Punctuality is vital during this period of examination as the examination can commence at 08:30.

We pray for the protection and safety of all of the Windsor family. We pray especially for our children. En Avante, Forward and Upward.Kind Regards

This was thoroughly enjoyed by the Windsor Volleyball team as they were announced best supporters and were able to take photos with the various teams. Our grade 11 girls had the opportunity to attend a job shadowing program and they were thoroughly spoilt by the corporate world. Thank you to all our parents who attended the parent meeting this past week. The evening was a huge success in that the attendance was good and the engagement between parents and staff went well. Together we serve the best interests of our children.

    Dear Parents, Staff and Students

It has been a wonderful first week back at school, welcoming both our staff and our learners after the short break. We celebrated the Class of 2025 at a beautiful valedictory ceremony held for the first time in our Main hall. Both the school choir, and our marching band performances enhanced the proceedings. The class of 2025, from the head prefects to each of the class representatives spoke so well that it brought both parents and teachers to tears. Zane and Ethan displayed such talent with their performance on the keyboard and the guitar. We are so proud of the Class of 2025. We wish our grade 12s well as they prepare for the NSC exam. Thank you to our grade 12 parents and families and the grade 12 team of educators led by Ms Mally for all the hard work, sacrifice and support shown to our young people during this high school journey. We celebrate Marybelle Schietekat on receiving the Principals’ Award and Elam Magumasholo on the Service Award. Well done to all our grade 12’s, 177 students of the class of 2025. This is the largest graduating Matric class of Windsor High in the history of the school.

As we approach this coming week, we are cognizant of the limited teaching time for our grades 8 to 11 before they commence their final exam. Therefore it is very important that all students attend school daily and that they are punctual. School will dismiss at 3pm as per normal this week, Monday to Thursday and at 12:30 on Friday. Reflection class will commence on Wednesday from 3pm to 4pm. We look forward to meeting the selected, invited parents to attend the parent meeting on Wednesday from 6pm to 7:30pm. This meeting will take place in the subject teachers classroom within the school building site. The bursar and myself will also be available to see parents during this time.

On Tuesday, the first NSC exam will be written. Our Computer Application Technology students will be kicking off the NSC exam. Then on Wednesday, we have the grade 9 cohort doing their systemic tests in English and Mathematics. The week is completed with all grade 12 students writing their first language papers.

The school has been invited to attend the World Beach Volleyball tournament taking place in Camps Bay and the school will provide the transport to and from the event. Those students attending must please take along a packed lunch. Indemnity forms must be returned as this will give them access to the transport. They must be dressed in full school uniform. They will be accompanied by staff members.

We encourage all the Windsor families to follow the schools official social media pages of Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok. Please ensure that you are linked with the correct page. We are finalizing our new school website and will inform the Windsor family and the broader Windsor community when the launch will take place.

Our only fundraiser for this term is our Halloween Civvies Day on Friday, 31st October. The cost to wear Civvies on this day will be R15-00 and those in school uniform to donate R5-00. There will be a prize for the best dressed student in each grade. Boerewors rolls will be on sale at R20-00. Pre-Orders and payment to the register teacher by Monday, 27th October.

Finally a reminder that school fees must be paid. Attached once again is the top 20 merit list and the schools bank details.

We thank the Almighty for all the blessings bestowed on our school. We pray for the safety and protection of the Windsor family. May the week ahead be a productive and joyful one. • Circular 12 October 2025

    Dear Parents, Staff and Students

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you back to school for the start of the fourth and final term of this academic year. This is a very short teaching term as we know that the grade 9 learners commence with National DBE testing through the GEC program on the 10th November 2025. This allows for 4 weeks of teaching before formal assessments commence for the grade 8 to 11 learners. The grade 12 learners start writing the NSC exam much earlier on the 21st October 2025.

We celebrated the class of 2025 at their Matric Dance at Kelvin Grove in the spirit of their successful completion of the September Trial exam where there was an increase in their pass percentage. Well done! We are filled with gratitude to the parents and staff who made this event a truly special one for the class of 2025. A special thanks to the grade head Ms Mally and her team of Ms Nicholas [organizer of the Matric Dance], Ms Prins and Mr Van De Merwe. The evening was enjoyable with delicious food and lots of dancing.

The Valedictory ceremony takes place on Tuesday, 14th October. On this day we will only be able to accommodate the grade 12 class of 2025 and parents/ guardians for this special celebration in the main hall of the school. There will be no formal classes for grades 8 to 11 as the event takes place from 9am to 12. All staff are involved in the ceremony.

As we reflect on term 3 results we acknowledge an increase in the pass percentage for each grade. This means more learners have passed term 3 from grade 8 to grade 12.. This momentum must be maintained and we work towards achieving 100% pass in each grade for the end of this term. Your input will determine your output! A reminder especially to our FET learners, grades 10 and 11: Your personal effort during this term and your achievement in the final exam will determine whether you move to the next grade or not. For our grade 12, class of 2025 we encourage you to go for Gold in this NSC exam. Study hard every day and know that you have been prepared well for this final exam. Your NSC result is entirely in your own hands now. Thank you to all the grade 12 subject educators for getting our class of 2025 to this point.

Attached to this communication is the calendar for term 4, the top 20 list of achievers for term 3 and the final NSC exam time table. School will dismiss at 2pm for students on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and 12:30 on Friday.

We commend all our learners for their excellent academic achievements at the Shine Academia prize giving. The beautiful poetry presented, the flute playing and the singing by our learners certainly enhanced the event. We thank Mr January for representing the school at this event.

We also welcome a new educator into the Mathematics department and into the Windsor family, Mr D. Authers. We wish him well.

We pray that term 4 will be the best term of the year and that the Windsor Family will be kept safe and protected. We pray especially for the class of 2025, that they may be focused to do their very best.

En Avante; forward and upward.Kind Regards
