Circular 12 October 2025

Dear Parents, Staff and Students

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you back to school for the start of the fourth and final term of this academic year. This is a very short teaching term as we know that the grade 9 learners commence with National DBE testing through the GEC program on the 10th November 2025. This allows for 4 weeks of teaching before formal assessments commence for the grade 8 to 11 learners. The grade 12 learners start writing the NSC exam much earlier on the 21st October 2025.

We celebrated the class of 2025 at their Matric Dance at Kelvin Grove in the spirit of their successful completion of the September Trial exam where there was an increase in their pass percentage. Well done! We are filled with gratitude to the parents and staff who made this event a truly special one for the class of 2025. A special thanks to the grade head Ms Mally and her team of Ms Nicholas [organizer of the Matric Dance], Ms Prins and Mr Van De Merwe. The evening was enjoyable with delicious food and lots of dancing.

The Valedictory ceremony takes place on Tuesday, 14th October. On this day we will only be able to accommodate the grade 12 class of 2025 and parents/ guardians for this special celebration in the main hall of the school. There will be no formal classes for grades 8 to 11 as the event takes place from 9am to 12. All staff are involved in the ceremony.

As we reflect on term 3 results we acknowledge an increase in the pass percentage for each grade. This means more learners have passed term 3 from grade 8 to grade 12.. This momentum must be maintained and we work towards achieving 100% pass in each grade for the end of this term. Your input will determine your output! A reminder especially to our FET learners, grades 10 and 11: Your personal effort during this term and your achievement in the final exam will determine whether you move to the next grade or not. For our grade 12, class of 2025 we encourage you to go for Gold in this NSC exam. Study hard every day and know that you have been prepared well for this final exam. Your NSC result is entirely in your own hands now. Thank you to all the grade 12 subject educators for getting our class of 2025 to this point.

Attached to this communication is the calendar for term 4, the top 20 list of achievers for term 3 and the final NSC exam time table. School will dismiss at 2pm for students on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and 12:30 on Friday.

We commend all our learners for their excellent academic achievements at the Shine Academia prize giving. The beautiful poetry presented, the flute playing and the singing by our learners certainly enhanced the event. We thank Mr January for representing the school at this event.

We also welcome a new educator into the Mathematics department and into the Windsor family, Mr D. Authers. We wish him well.

We pray that term 4 will be the best term of the year and that the Windsor Family will be kept safe and protected. We pray especially for the class of 2025, that they may be focused to do their very best.

En Avante; forward and upward.Kind Regards

Dianne Morgan-Meyer
