Circular 19 October 2025

Dear Parents, Staff and Students

It has been a wonderful first week back at school, welcoming both our staff and our learners after the short break. We celebrated the Class of 2025 at a beautiful valedictory ceremony held for the first time in our Main hall. Both the school choir, and our marching band performances enhanced the proceedings. The class of 2025, from the head prefects to each of the class representatives spoke so well that it brought both parents and teachers to tears. Zane and Ethan displayed such talent with their performance on the keyboard and the guitar. We are so proud of the Class of 2025. We wish our grade 12s well as they prepare for the NSC exam. Thank you to our grade 12 parents and families and the grade 12 team of educators led by Ms Mally for all the hard work, sacrifice and support shown to our young people during this high school journey. We congratulate our Valedictorian, Sitarah Allie for her excellent overall achievement of 86%. We celebrate Marybelle Schietekat on receiving the Principals’ Award and Elam Magumasholo on the Service Award. Well done to all our grade 12’s, 177 students of the class of 2025. This is the largest graduating Matric class of Windsor High in the history of the school.

As we approach this coming week, we are cognizant of the limited teaching time for our grades 8 to 11 before they commence their final exam. Therefore it is very important that all students attend school daily and that they are punctual. School will dismiss at 3pm as per normal this week, Monday to Thursday and at 12:30 on Friday. Reflection class will commence on Wednesday from 3pm to 4pm. We look forward to meeting the selected, invited parents to attend the parent meeting on Wednesday from 6pm to 7:30pm. This meeting will take place in the subject teachers classroom within the school building site. The bursar and myself will also be available to see parents during this time.

On Tuesday, the first NSC exam will be written. Our Computer Application Technology students will be kicking off the NSC exam. Then on Wednesday, we have the grade 9 cohort doing their systemic tests in English and Mathematics. The week is completed with all grade 12 students writing their first language papers.

The school has been invited to attend the World Beach Volleyball tournament taking place in Camps Bay and the school will provide the transport to and from the event. Those students attending must please take along a packed lunch. Indemnity forms must be returned as this will give them access to the transport. They must be dressed in full school uniform. They will be accompanied by staff members.

We encourage all the Windsor families to follow the schools official social media pages of Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok. Please ensure that you are linked with the correct page. We are finalizing our new school website and will inform the Windsor family and the broader Windsor community when the launch will take place.

Our only fundraiser for this term is our Halloween Civvies Day on Friday, 31st October. The cost to wear Civvies on this day will be R15-00 and those in school uniform to donate R5-00. There will be a prize for the best dressed student in each grade. Boerewors rolls will be on sale at R20-00. Pre-Orders and payment to the register teacher by Monday, 27th October.

Finally a reminder that school fees must be paid. Attached once again is the top 20 merit list and the schools bank details.

We thank the Almighty for all the blessings bestowed on our school. We pray for the safety and protection of the Windsor family. May the week ahead be a productive and joyful one. May our class of 2025 find peace and focus as they prepare and study for their finals. En Avante, forward and upward.Kind Regards
