Parent Communication 1 March 2026
01 March 2026
Dear Parents, Staff and Students
The weekly communication serves to keep the Windsor family informed of the week ahead and to reflect on the past week. It aims to provide you with transparency of what is happening at school so that as a school community we can support our children to reach their full potential.
Reflection: This past week the Spirit Club leaders, under the guidance of Ms Nika, launched the Anti-Bullying Campaign. We commend the following grade 11 students for taking this initiative: Iviwe Ntsebezo, Qhoma Soknanyive, Ashley Zora, Luniko Mayiza and Liyema Hene. In addition, the grade 8 students have been guided through a program by their register teacher explaining what bullying entails and how it impacts others. Thank you to Ms Mally the grade head.
In the week ahead all grades will be reflecting on this societal issue. Windsor High chooses kindness.
Our value words of commitment and dedication speaks directly to our engagement with the most important sphere of our holistic education, that is, the academics/ the curriculum content and the assessment thereof. This past week the grade 12 mathematics students committed themselves to daily practice of mathematics in a badging ceremony led by Mr Authers, in the presence of myself and Ms Hanslo, the grade head. They will lead the campaign to ensure that all our students from grades 8 to 11 practice on Siyavula daily, by being the example. The class who scores the highest points will be treated to a Pizza Party as a reward. We encourage especially our grades 8 and 9 to get into this competition. Show the seniors that you can do it. Attached are the current positions for both the top class and the top student.
Sport: The Volleyball boys team had a victory against Belgravia High and the Softball team won against Fish Hoek High School. Well done to all our players.
The week ahead: We commence this coming week with a gender assembly. All the male students will be addressed by the male staff and the female students will be addressed by the female staff in separate venues. Parents and guardians are reminded of the random search and seizure that will take place. We have focused on our value word of respect and will continue to have zero tolerance for any form of disrespect displayed by students towards any staff member. We once again want to commend the vast majority of our students who are consistently respectful and kind. Keep on shining!
March Test Series: A hard copy of the time table was handed to each learner this past week. Attached is a soft copy for the perusal of parents. We commence on the 12th March 2026. All students should be preparing for this important formal assessment.
School Fees: This is a reminder to all families to ensure that school fees are paid on a monthly basis. We are a fee paying public school. Our annual school fees are R9500-00. Windsor High School is one of the most cost effective schools in our area surpassing and outperforming our neighboring public and private schools in the National Senior Certificate examination. We provide a quality education for our children at minimal costs. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to pay school fees. Bank details attached.
We pray for peace in the world, especially in the Middle East. We pray for the Windsor Family and the communities we come from. May we choose kindness! Let us respect ourselves and others.
En AvanteKind Regards
