Weekly Circular 30 November 2025

Dear Parents, Staff and Students

We have come to the end of the academic year of 2025. What a year it has been! We have been so blessed as a school community that we can only look back at this year with gratitude. Thank you parents, thank you staff and thank you to all our students.

Nelson Mandela said: “It always seems impossible until it is done.” This year has been a grueling one for all. It is now time to get into a slower rhythm as we wrap up the school year. The final results are in the process of validation and this coming week the final verification for promotion and progression will be done by the Education District. We release the results of the grades 8 to 11 to you our parents/guardians via the Prosum App on the 10th December at 11am. The grade 12 results will be released on Tuesday, 13th January at 10am at school.

The pre-liminary results show us that the GET phase has done exceptionally well even before any condonations were generated by the system. We are extremely proud of our grade 8 and especially our grade 9 students for this achievement. A clear effort was made in term 4. Well done parents and students.

In the FET phase however, we have a larger group of learners who did not meet the minimum pass requirements for grades 10 and 11. This means that we have a number of students who will need to repeat the grade. Those learners who have been diligent and worked consistently throughout the year have performed extremely well. We are very proud of your achievements.

We will await for the district to verify the results. In our final communication for the year, we will release the Top 20 Merit list.

Reflection of the past week

Ms Terri Roodt of the Drama Experience facilitated the leadership workshop for our class captains and RCL members during this past week. She provided feedback on how wonderful our learners co-operated during the session. Thank you to all the RCL members and class captains who attended. We are extremely proud of you.

On Saturday, we welcomed our new grade 8 learners for 2026, the class of 2030, to our school building and into the Windsor family. We emphasized our core value words of dedication, commitment, respect, kindness and care. We remind our parents/ guardians of this grade to engage with your child around the learners’ code of conduct. Baseline assessments were written in Mathematics, English and Afrikaans. Thank you to all staff who assisted on the day.

Bi-elections of parents on the SGB

We say farewell to our Chairperson Ms Rushni Majiet. We thank you, Ms Majiet for the diligence, sacrifice and hard work of the past 5 years as you served and governed Windsor High. You did this with integrity and to serve the best interest of all the children under your governance. Thank you for this.

On Monday, at 1pm the first nomination and validation meeting will take place at school under the guidance of the school electoral officer, Ms Prinsloo of Groenvlei High.

School Uniform Shop

The second hand shop will be open from 9am to 12:00 from Tuesday, 2nd December until 23rd December 2025. Parents are reminded that you can purchase school ties, school badges and the athletics/PE uniform at Aspire clothing in Imam Haroon Road Lansdowne. At School and Leisure in Claremont we can purchase the school skirt, school jersey, school ties and school badges.

Stationery List

Attached to this email are the stationary lists for grades 9 to 12 of 2026. Please note the costs of Business studies textbooks R80-00 G10, R90-00 G11, R100-G12. All textbooks must be covered with strong plastic, so we appeal to parents/guardians to budget to cover 9 textbooks per child. Reminder that each student must have a box of Rota Trim paper, 12 toilet rolls and 1 examination pad that is handed in on day 1 in January 2026. Grade 10 class lists for 2026 will be released later in the week.
