Dear Parents, Staff and Students
Thank you to all our parents who attended the meetings last week and who communicated the reason for their absence. We have had a successful session with all our grades. Reports can be collected by an adult, family member anytime during school hours. [07:30 to 16:00]. Attached is the Top 20 merit list for all grades. We are extremely proud of all our students who have met the pass requirements. Those who have not, should be monitored at home by the family to be more diligent. Congratulations to our top achievers.
The week ahead sees the After School Program going full steam ahead. Football, Netball, Rugby, Volleyball and Table Tennis. The Debating Club has commenced with preparation for their debate this week. The draw for the Inter-Class football tournament has taken place and we are excited for this coming week when games begin during both intervals. Fixtures Attached.
Dismissal time for week 3 onwards, reverts back to our normal time of 3pm, Monday to Thursday. Reflection class will commence on Wednesday and 7th period for grade 12 has commenced.
Siyavula Pizza Party Term 1
Well done to grade 8D and our top 3 individual learners for Term 1, Khanya 8D, Lutho 8B and Yusrah 10B. They enjoyed slices of Pizza and a soft drink. We congratulate the register teacher, Mr Danielle and the Math educators Mr Mabusela, Ms Nika and Mr Authers. The challenge is now on for term 2. Parents/Guardians we have registered all grade 8 and 9 students and the FET pure Math learners. This is a personal tutor for your child. They can practice at school during breaks in the digital lab and after school on a Tuesday and Thursday. They can practice at home every day. The school has paid for this resource and it is free to be used and accessible 24 hours. You have no excuse for your child to fail Math. Practice practice!!!!!
School fees 2026
The school fees for the year are R9500-00. Attached are the banking details. We are a fee paying school and fully reliant on the school fees that you pay as parents/guardians. If you have applied for partial exemption, you need to continue to pay monthly. Check in with your child as the sealed response letters will be sent home with your child.
Civvies Day 30th April 26
Formal tests will be written on this day. Grades 8 and 9 will be writing EMS and grades 10 to 12 will be writing History/CAT. Parents/guardians do ensure that your child is well prepared to do their best. This means studying well in advance. It is compulsory for all students in uniform to pay R10-00 and those in casual clothes will pay R20-00. This is one of the few fundraisers we have for the year.
Search and Seizure: A reminder that we are a drug free zone. No dangerous weapons are allowed. The SAP will conduct a search and seizure.
We are also a cell phone free zone for learners during school hours. All students to wear the full school uniform including a blazer. As we approach winter, it is important for students to wear the proper rain wear, scarves and caps. Aspire Uniform shop in Imam Haroon Road stocks the official winter scarf and cap/beanie and rain jacket.
All textbooks must be covered with a strong plastic. Our system has a scanning code and each textbook is linked to a student name. Lost and damaged books cost R250-00 each.
Thank you for your co-operation in all of the above, parents, staff and students.
We wish the Windsor Family a productive week ahead and we pray for the safety and protection of all.
En AvanteKind Regards
